Congratulations Seattle Culinary Academy!
The Seattle Culinary Academy competed on the national stage to demonstrate and establish the degree to which sustainable principles and practices have been integrated into their curricula and operations and WON! The Center for Advancement of Foodservice Education’s (CAFE) annual Green Award is based on the level of innovation; perceived impact on students’ understanding of sustainability practices and their importance; and the ease with which elements of the program can be implemented in similar programs nationwide. The program will be honored at this year’s CAFE Leadership Conference at the CIA in San Antonio. Runner up is University of Massachusetts, Amherst. http://www.cafemeetingplace.com/
