Chris West is a graduate of the Culinary Arts program at Seattle Culinary Academy. He spent most of his professional career working in the tech industry, but a few years back, decided to switch gears and pursue his love of cooking. While in school he quickly found that combining his love of science and food was a match made in heaven. Over the past 3 years he has been tutoring, teaching and working in the food service industry. Chris loves to explore the fundamental science behind classical and modern culinary theory; in fact, many of his culinary heroes are those who identify as food scientists; such as Harold McGee, Michael Rhulman and Kenji Lopez.
