Lesley Pettigrew returned to Seattle in 2009 after living in Japan and San Diego for many years. She changed paths mid-career, and left behind the field of international affairs to attend the Specialty Desserts & Breads program at Seattle Culinary Academy and pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a professional baker. She has worked in the Seattle restaurant industry for the past ten years, and has been the pastry chef at Café Flora and the Flora Bakehouse. She is very excited to share her passion for baking with the students at SCA. Lesley lives in Seattle with her family, and in her free time, enjoys reading, gardening, hiking and snowshoeing. Her favorite things to cook and bake with are the amazing bounty of produce we have here in Washington State.
